Each artist at Iron Claw was asked to create their own version of the Iron Claw seal. My version was an attempt to mix both the pleasing and grotesque. Starting with the claw design, I wanted to make the claw feel antiseptically clean, this created a lovely contrast to the organic rippling terrain of the heart. With Real Flow I set out to design a stream of blood that fell elegantly from the still beating heart, my hope was that people would become mesmerized by the blood as it looped and spun out of each artery. Lastly I mixed the Swan and Yo Yo Ma's Caprice 24. Two cello pieces that are designed to evoke contradictory emotional responses in the viewer. Enjoy!
